【職務内容】
PlayStationプラットフォームで動作するBIOS開発を担当します。 PCプラットフォームのBIOSを単純に移植するのではなく、PlayStationプラットフォームに求められる要件をベースとし、セキュリティも考慮した独自のBIOSを開発します。
関連する他チームとともに詳細設計・実装、単体・結合テスト、リリース後のサポートまで、一貫して行います。
BIOSの仕様書、という決まったものがあるわけではなく、PlayStationのHW仕様を理解し、OS/Hypervisor開発者とともにベストなソフトウェア構成を検討し、それに従って実装していくことになります。
【組織・職場紹介】
PlayStationのカーネル、ドライバ、開発環境、toolchain 等、SDK に必要なソフトウェアを開発する部門に属し、課としてはBIOSとHypervisorの開発を担当しています。
ソフトウェア開発者部門の他、ハードウェア設計部門、LSI部門、商品企画、また US他海外部署と連携して開発を行っています。新しいプラットフォームの立ち上げ時にはハードウェアやチップの仕様策定に参加します。
開発者自身で要件整理・設計から、コーディング・不具合解析をまでを行っています。要件さえ満たせば実装面の裁量は大きく、実装の実力を発揮する機会が大いにあります。

・カーネルやデバイスドライバの開発もしくは組み込みシステムの開発経験
・以下、「歓迎されるスキル・技術領域」で1つ以上合致するご経験があること

・UEFIを使った開発経験
・ブートローダーの開発経験
・ハードウェアデバッグツール等を使用した組み込み環境でのソフトウェアデバッグスキル
・仮想化技術等の HW/SW 専門知識のある方
・海外エンジニアとの英語でのエンジニアリングコミュニケーションが可能であること
