AMERICAN SYSTEMS is seeking a Ship Manager Representative with 10 years of experience and a secret clearance to support The US Navy Code 226 Ship Modernization Program in Pearl Harbor, HI
ResponsibilitiesAs a Ship Manager Representative, you will:
- Lead the planning and execution of ship modernization projects.
- Ensure that all modernization efforts are completed on schedule and within budget.
- Provide technical guidance and expertise during the modernization process.
- Ensure compliance with Navy standards and specifications.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the Navy and contractors/vendors.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration among various stakeholders, including engineering teams, logistics personnel, and ship crews.
- Monitor modernization activities to ensure quality and safety standards are met.
- Conduct inspections and evaluations of completed work.
- Maintain thorough documentation of all modernization activities and changes made to the ship.
- Prepare reports on project status, challenges, and accomplishments for higher management and stakeholders.
- Oversee the financial aspects of modernization projects, including cost estimates, budgets, and expenditure tracking.
- Provide training to ship’s crew on new systems and equipment that have been installed or modernized.
- Offer continued support and troubleshooting after modernization is complete.

Qualifications- High School Diploma
- Active DoD Secret Clearance
- U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
- 10 years of experience in the following areas:
- Engineering, naval architecture, or a related field.
- Ship systems, maintenance, and modernization.
- Excellent project management and communication skills.
- Navy standards and operational requirements.
Skills Required
