An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced SHEQ Manager. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following –
- Being responsible for Site Personnel, Environmental, H&S compliance.
- Writing SSOW and implementing them, implement staff training and development to meet and exceed expectations and Compliance with the procedures.
- Reviewing Operations to continually improve efficiency and costs
- Establish good working relationships between internal colleagues, customers and contractors
- Implement good systems for smooth and efficient running of the site
- Writing up and following environment management systems and compliance
- Following and implementing ISO standards and complying with Audits.
- Auditing and Supervising operational checks to ensure staff are trained follow procedures
- Drive improvements in all areas of operation and compliance.
The successful candidate must have previous managerial/supervisor experience
It is essential that all candidates have knowledge of heavy plant machinery and can work well in a team and lead a team and ensure full compliance with environmental, health and safety, machinery maintenance and all issues with running a site with full compliance. All applicants must hold a Certificate of Technical Competence (COTC) Level 4 (or equivalent) or be willing to work towards it. Any other relevant H&S qualification IOSH or NEEBOSH, any other relevant qualifications for internal audit or training would be welcomed.
Skills Required
- Previous managerial or supervisory experience
- Knowledge of heavy plant machinery and site operations
- Ability to write and implement Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and deliver staff training
- Experience with environmental management systems and compliance
- Familiarity with ISO standards and audit compliance
- Certificate of Technical Competence (COTC) Level 4 (or equivalent) or willingness to work towards it
- Relevant H&S qualifications (IOSH or NEBOSH)
- Qualifications for internal audit or training delivery
