he Leidos DoD Enterprise and Cyber Operations (DECO) division of the Digital Modernization Sector / DoD Defense Agencies IT Business Area has an opportunity for a SharePoint Developer to support existing and growth opportunities within the division. The developer will work virtually with primarily a US Eastern and Central time focus, and a worldwide team. The Leidos DECO Division is both established and growing. Our DECO Program Operations team provides the functional support for this $600M+ annual and growing organization. Current task orders are under the Global Services Management-Operations II (GSM-O II) IDIQ and the Systems Engineering, Technology, and Innovation (SETI) IDIQ contract vehicles.
The Process Operations team withing Program Operations has a challenge of defining and implementing the integrated platform for the division, bringing together the data and processes for the suite of IDIQ task orders and expanding division contracts as well as providing evolution of the business operations tools providing a transformation that enables leadership and team members to get situational awareness, obtain and process common data and execute to common, streamlined processes.This business operations transformation includes the business process rules, understanding and building SharePoint structures and workflows and PoweBI tools meeting the program needs.
The ideal individual has a combination of hands-on experience in SharePoint, workflow development and PoweBI development. The team member will be key in designing and implementing solutions that have a broad impact across a program of 2,000+ people. The Sharepoint Developer who will be responsible for assisting with trade studies for third party tool procurement for the division SharePoint. This developer will be responsible for reviewing architectures and technical approaches.
Primary Responsibilities
Own requirement definition, design, development and testing of SharePoint projects and including, SharePoint environments, Power automate workflows, and PowerBI dashboard creation
Develop and administer sites, libraries, and lists for SharePoint spaces for the division SharePoint site collection.
Provide operations and sustainment of applications, back-end infrastructure, bug fixing, and support site enhancements.
Build and customize internal SharePoint sites, including testing new document templates, testing new features, web development, and workflow troubleshooting.
Create data visualizations from multiple sources using SharePoint and Power BI.
Assist the program manager and technical lead in performing trade studies and make recommendations to support decision on platforms that will support multiple contracts with and integrated view and common processes across the division
Support the integration of existing capabilities with the latest technologies to modernize the division’s internal capabilities
Coach and review the work of junior technical staff when appropriate
Operate in an agile software development life cycle
Basic Qualifications
Must have an Active DoD Secret clearance.
Typically requires BS degree and 4 – 8 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2 – 6 years of prior relevant experience.
Deep knowledge and experience with SharePoint technologies to include SharePoint 2013, 2016, 2019 and SharePoint Online.
Broad Familiarity with using Nintex, InfoPath, and/or PowerBI platforms for creating and managing workflows.
Deep understanding of Power Automate functions and usage
Broad knowledge of enterprise IT solutions to include Microsoft 365, PowerBI, Oracle, Workday, Vector or similar
Strong and effective communication skills – verbal and written
Knowledge of systems engineering principles, including requirements development and lifecycle processes
Positive experience executing in a virtual team
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft 365 Certified: Administrator Expert (strongly preferred) or equivalent certification related to SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive and their administration.
Experience with Agile or project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project)
Excel and PowerPoint expertise
Effective presentation skills
Internal and external customer interface skills
Salesforce experience
Basic programming or scripting experience (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or similar)
Desired AI / Digital Engineering Skills (Nice to have)
Experience leveraging AI-enabled tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, or similar) to support engineering tasks such as:
Drafting or refining technical documentation
Summarizing requirements or technical data
Assisting with code development or scripting
Ability to construct clear, structured prompts to obtain relevant and accurate outputs from AI tools
Understanding of limitations and risks of AI systems, including:
Potential for inaccurate or incomplete outputs
Data privacy and security considerations
Appropriate use within controlled or classified environments
Demonstrated ability to validate and verify AI-generated content before use in engineering or program deliverables
Awareness of emerging Digital Engineering practices, including integration of AI tools into engineering workflows
