Metyis is growing! We are looking for a SFCC Frontend Lead with 4+ years of relevant experience for a full-time position to join our Technology team based out of Digital Campus in Porto.

As a SFCC Frontend Lead, you will take ownership of frontend architecture and lead the development of scalable, high-performance user interfaces on SFCC. You will mentor junior developers, guide architectural decisions, and ensure best practices in performance and maintainability.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead frontend architecture and component library design
Mentor junior developers and conduct code reviews
Implement complex interactive and responsive features
Establish frontend coding standards and best practices
Coordinate with backend developers on API contracts
Optimize frontend performance and accessibility
Drive adoption of modern frontend technologies
Technical Skills Required:
JavaScript ES6+ (async/await, Fetch API, error handling, modular coding)
SCSS/SASS with advanced features (mixins, variables, functions)
BEM methodology & component-based CSS architecture
Responsive design (mobile-first, Grid, Flexbox)
SFCC ISML templates (syntax, includes, decorators, data binding)
Basic MVC and caching strategies knowledge
Hands-on experience with Business Manager (Page Designer, assets, slots, debugging logs)
Advanced JavaScript design patterns (Module, Observer, Factory)
State management patterns & lazy loading techniques
Web Components and custom elements
Advanced ISML patterns and custom cartridge development
Advanced Webpack configurations (custom loaders/plugins, code splitting, tree shaking)
Performance budgets and audits (Lighthouse, BM tools)
Advanced Page Designer configuration & component registration
Debugging complex frontend issues in Business Manager
Experience Level:
4–7 years frontend development experience
4+ years SFCC-specific experience
Experience leading frontend architecture
Leadership Skills:
Technical decision-making for frontend solutions
Mentoring and knowledge transfer
Cross-team collaboration with design and backend
Clear communication of technical constraints to stakeholders
