About the job

As a SET & WIFH Sales Manager at Alfa Laval Iberia, you’ll play an important role in accelerating our Food & Pharma Division’s growth. You’ll collaborate with distributors, agents, and key accounts to expand our reach and impact. Your work will help develop new markets and business opportunities within SET & WIFH markets.

As Sales Manager, you will be responsible for formulating and executing a sales strategy for the SET & WIFH markets of Alfa Laval Products and Services in accordance with the SET & WIFH assigned targets and Food & Pharma divisional strategy and targets in Iberica GSS.

Responsible for leading, developing and securing a high performing sales team in line with the Alfa Laval culture in all team in SET & WIFH BU´s within Food & Pharma Division.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define the business strategy and plan in SET & WIFH BU´s to Division Food & Pharma Strategy, with targets.
  • Develop the SET & WIFH business by driving relevant sales and business development activities to get the customer Loyalty and satisfaction: Market Analysis, Pricing, Visits, Seminars.
  • Forecasts Sales and budget and monitor progress against objectives and financial targets to identify problem areas to improve performance.
  • Work proactive and structured with the sales and business development to optimize the sales efficiency of the team
  • Lead the sales team giving directions and ensure that they are performing according with the plan and the sales process, with the special focus on lead opportunities and opportunity to quote sub-process.
  • Develop, motivate and coach direct reports to secure the development of relevant sales and product/application competencies.

What You Know

  • Degree in Industrial Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or similar
  • At least 5 years’ experience in capital and / or service sales of food, water, waste and / or pharma processes
  • Solid commercial orientation and proven track record in generating profitable business results
  • Experience in the distribution market and end user
  • Experience in analyzing, designing, and executing a sales plan
  • Knowledge and experience in preparing sales forecasts for high‑volume business, with strong execution capabilities and a proactive approach to analyzing and correcting potential deviations
  • Strategic thinking for developing commercial plans within the business units under their responsibility
  • At least 3 years of experience leading sales team
  • Fluent in Spanish and English
  • Resident in the Madrid area
