Compensation
Job Objective
This is a production position working to ensure the safe work practices while producing quality products. The job requires that the employee be able to work safely and follow safety rules. Employee must be dependable, able to follow instructions and directions, according to established operating procedures.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Range: $21.77 - $23.75
Shift: 6am - 3:30pm
- Use & follow established safe working practices and report unsafe or hazardous conditions at all times to supervisor
- Wear Proper PPE and follow all Safety & General shop rules for the Edison PVC Plant
- Receive and follow verbal and written instruction from management
- Operate fork truck & mobile equipment as required (must be properly training and licensed)
- Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly manner. Work area must be maintained at end of each shift
- Maintain production, quality, maintenance, SPC, deviation/inspection, TPM and other required electronic and written logs as instructed
- Assist with equipment & tooling changeovers/set-up
- Perform Quality testing per schedule and as needed
- Operate overhead crane and lift devices to change PVC rolls, tooling and set up equipment for production
- Supply PVC rolls for production
- Start-up & shutdown of the machine
- Machine Operator 3 Qualified
- Perform other miscellaneous job duties as directed or required by management
- Perform equipment & tooling changeovers/set-up
- Perform minor process adjustments to resolve Quality defects and scrap
Job Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Flexible in work and assignments
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in team-based environment
- Ability to work effectively in a fast paced environment in a safe manner
- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities during the course of the day
Physical Demands
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time on cement floors
- Must be able to walk, stoop, kneel, bend and climb ladders and staircases
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs. as assigned
Job Environment
- The responsibilities for this job are performed on the production plant floor.
- Conditions are often hot, with temperatures ranging from 70-115 degrees
