Job DescriptionThe purpose of this role is to act as a crucial link between traditional instructional design and modern, scalable digital communication. It is a strategic role designed to solve a core challenge in today's L&D landscape: how to provide highly engaging, effective training at scale in a fast-paced environment.
Instead of just creating courses, this individual will produce learning experiences that are on-brand and in a format that our audience already consumes in their daily lives. This includes creating and disseminating microlearning videos, internal podcasts, and engaging digital content that is both educational and easy to digest.
This role's ultimate purpose is to drive measurable training impact by leveraging a different skillset to reach learners in a new way, ensuring that the right learning content is delivered at the right time in the right format. It allows the L&D function to innovate and move from a reactive state of building requested courses to a proactive state of designing scalable, strategic learning solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Design & Strategy
- Collaborate with stakeholders to conduct learning needs analysis to identify performance gaps and define training objectives.
- Design learning experiences using established methodologies to ensure all solutions target the right knowledge, skills, and abilities.
- Design and develop interactive learning experiences using Articulate Storyline, Rise, and AI-powered authoring tools to enhance efficiency and learner engagement.
- Apply a data-driven approach to all content design, from initial concept to post-launch evaluation, to drive measurable training impact.
Digital media & content creation
- Design and develop innovative digital learning content, including microlearning modules, video-based training, and internal podcasts.
- Script, produce, and edit high-quality media assets that are engaging, accessible, and on-brand.
- Produce professional-quality training videos, including recording, animation, editing, and post-production using tools like Adobe Suite and Camtasia.
- Continuously explore and implement new technologies and AI tools that improve training production efficiency and increase content impact.
- Create visually engaging presentations and other learning assets that enhance clarity and learner engagement.
- Explore and recommend new learning technologies and platforms that enhance content delivery and learner engagement.
Presentation & communication
- Serve as the on-screen talent or voice for a variety of digital learning products.
- Demonstrate strong presentation skills and comfort with public speaking and being recorded.
- Act as a dynamic host for blended training sessions and digital learning content.
- Manage your own workflow, set priorities, and ensure timely delivery of high-quality learning materials.
Experience & portfolio: Bring 2-3 years of experience in instructional design, digital media production, or eLearning development within a fast-paced environment. Provide a strong portfolio demonstrating proficiency in creating digital content, such as microlearning videos, podcasts, and interactive modules.
Analytical problem-solving: Ability to assess learning needs and design effective instructional solutions.
Creativity: Innovate and design engaging learning experiences that capture and retain learners' attention.
Detail-Oriented: Ensure high quality and accuracy in all instructional materials and programs.
Agility & workflow management: Adapt quickly to shifting project requirements and rapid product updates typical of a fintech environment. Manage concurrent media production workflows efficiently to ensure timely delivery.
Results-driven execution: Validate the impact of multimedia solutions using operational data. Adapt content rapidly based on learner feedback and business metric changes.
Communication & presentation: Demonstrate strong public speaking and communication skills. Act comfortably as on-screen talent or voiceover host for digital training assets.
You're passionate about creating engaging learning experiences, leveraging technology to enhance adult learning, and making a meaningful impact through your work. You are enthusiastic about exploring new digital formats—like podcasts, microlearning videos, and interactive e-learning—to innovate how we deliver training.
You have great attention to detail. You'll design and develop instructional materials and courses that are accurate, clear, and engaging. By applying your expertise in instructional design and adult learning theories, you'll ensure that every piece of content, from a course module to a 3-minute video, meets high standards of quality and achieves the desired learning outcomes.
You're a self-starter. With a proven track record of taking initiative and solving problems creatively, you'll take ownership of projects from start to finish. You'll develop multimedia content, leverage AI-powered authoring tools, and continuously seek new ways to improve and innovate the learning experience for our operational teams.
You're reliable. As a key player in the Knowledge Delivery Organization, you effectively manage your own workflow and contribute to cross-functional projects. You handle a varied workload that includes both traditional L&D and digital media production with ease, always taking responsibility for project delivery in challenging situations. In short, you get it done.
You are results-driven. You have experience and expertise in instructional design and digital media production, enabling you to create effective and impactful learning solutions. You set measurable goals, track progress, and adapt as necessary to ensure successful outcomes, using data to validate the impact of new media formats.
You're learner-focused. This should go without saying, but this is your guiding light. You always have the learner’s best interest in mind and strive to create content that is engaging, relevant, and accessible across a variety of digital channels. You cultivate a mindset of continuous improvement and learner-centric design in all your projects.
