The Role
Lendlease have an exciting career opportunity to join our National Services Cost Planning team to help drive our current and upcoming pipeline of work around the country.
As a Cost Planner / Estimator you will report to the Services Cost Planning and Estimating Manager and will be responsible for providing cost planning support, specialising in building services trades (Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulics, Fire, Technologies, and Vertical Transport).
You will be involved in all aspects of the business nationally from budget cost plans through to hard dollar tender submissions across a broad range of sectors including Health, Research, Government, Commercial, Hospitality, Retail, Residential, Data Centres and Mixed Use.
The role will entail the following key responsibilities
Create and manage services trade budgets.
Prepare detailed measures and estimates.
Collate data analytics and benchmarking.
Provide cost support for value engineering and option management.
Participate in services procurement strategies to drive competitive outcomes.
Assess commercial opportunities and risks.
Engage and maintain relationships with internal and external Clients, Partners, Consultants, Subcontractors and Suppliers.
Lead and manage the tender analysis and cost vetting process of services subcontractor tender returns.
Be actively engaged in collaborative tender processes.
Provide cost planning assistance for Sustainable initiatives and emerging technologies.
About you
Relevant tertiary qualifications and technical post tertiary qualifications, combined with Cost Planning / Estimating / Quantity Surveying experience.
Specialist experience in building services trades (Mechanical, Electrical, Hydraulics, Fire, Technologies, and Vertical Transport).
Experience with estimating platforms such as CostX.
First class decision making and influencing skills.
Leadership and problem-solving skills.
Ability to act professionally and build trust, partnerships, and relationships with all internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to work collaboratively and autonomously, in a fast-paced environment.

Skills Required
