Leidos is looking for a ServiceNow Developer to support ongoing ServiceNow continuous improvement projects of an existing ServiceNow implementation for an enterprise. The successful candidate will be eager to learn, adapt to client needs, and support the implementation of the ServiceNow roadmap. The ServiceNow Developer will collaborate with a diverse workforce within a matrix environment and communicate effectively while helping gather and document requirements from stakeholders, working alongside the team to build upon the existing ServiceNow foundation.
As a ServiceNow Developer, you will play a supporting role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions within the ServiceNow platform. You will help maintain and support continual service improvements on modules such as: ITSM, ITOM, CSM, ITAM, CMDB, HAM and HRSD.
This position is remote. However, candidates must be willing to work east coast core work hours and are to be local to the Washington, DC area.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent practical experience
- 1–2 years of experience with the ServiceNow platform, or demonstrable foundational knowledge of its architecture and capabilities.
- Exposure to design, development, or support tasks on a platform or software project.
- Basic familiarity with ITSM, ITOM, and ITAM concepts.
- Shows initiative, asks good questions, and is a proactive self-starter who seeks feedback.
- Positive attitude, willingness to learn, and team-oriented mindset.
- Good communication and organizational skills.
- Willingness to work within an Agile framework: participate in daily scrums and ceremonies, and update stories in ServiceNow to document progress.

Responsibilities:
Team Support:

Development:
- Basic experience or coursework with JavaScript/Glide, HTML5, jQuery, and CSS; exposure to Angular JS is a plus.
- Assists in configuring environments for applications and supporting release management and production support activities.
- Helps design, create, and configure Business Rules, UI Policies, UI Actions, Client Scripts, and ACLs with guidance from senior developers.
- Supports the development of automation workflows, performs unit tests, and follows established coding standards and best practices.
- Exposure to Flow Designer is a plus.
- Exposure to system integrations is a plus.
- Collaborates with the team on software design tasks, contributing to work estimates for smaller features.
- Coordinates with other development, infrastructure, and operations teams as directed.
