Position Summary
Credence has an immediate need for a ServiceNow Architect who will be responsible for providing the overall guidance and structure for architecting, implementing, and maintaining innovative solutions and approaches. This position supports technical solution and development / implementation of solutions that leverage the OOTB ServiceNow modules and Custom App to migrate legacy applications to the DLA Enterprise ServiceNow platform.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure all designs created by different teams aligns with the architecture principles of ServiceNow and should be reusable, reliable, and adaptive.
- Act as the technical gateway between the initial designs agreed through to the delivery cycles with the project managers, business analysts, solution architects and developers.
- Provide presentation to senior stakeholders on the solution approaches and roadmaps.
- Ensure that the platform capabilities are efficiently and effectively utilized to drive expected business outcomes.
- Requirements elicitation, design, development, testing, training, and implementation support
- Managing the ServiceNow solution design, development, testing, and go-live support.
- Understanding the business context and how to translate business and functional requirements into a sustainable ServiceNow implementation.
- Working with project resources to define sustainment governance and processes as part of operational transition.
- Providing insight and expertise into the ServiceNow platform capabilities and roadmap
- Working with technical subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify and refine data requirements.
- Provide guidance to convert requirements into design and migration steps.
- Working with customer SME’s and senior leadership to ensure systems requirements are met.
- Proficient with business rules, client script, UI policies, UI actions, script includes, flow designer, notifications.

- Communicates effectively through presentations to a wide variety of audiences at all organizational levels.

- Familiarity with systems integration utilizing web services and other web-based technologies.
- Experience as a Business Architect for development and implementation projects
- Experience performing ServiceNow analysis, architecture, and application development or similar responsibility.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow components, such as Predictive Intelligence, Change Management, Service Catalog, Incident Management, Problem Management, Release Management, CMDB, CSM, Knowledge Management, Self-Service Portal, etc.
- Experience in performing and advising on change management.
- Prior experience participating in the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including analysis, design, coding, testing, and promotion into production.
- Proficient in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, XML
Requirements
- Must be a US citizen with the ability to obtain a successful DOD Secret clearance is required for consideration.
- Bachelors of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related discipline is required.
- Five (5) years total work experience
- Experience with application programming interfaces (APIs) in a ServiceNow platform in order to support Low-Code/No-Code Development.
- Experience with API platform such as MuleSoft is a plus.
- Experience developing application/process automation software based on BPMN models, experience using software tools such as Java, Javascript, Salesforce, etc. with Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server databases.
- Basic knowledge of DevOps tools such as Jenkins and Ansible.
- Experience in agile and hybrid low-code application development using JIRA for user story task management.
- Good understanding of ServiceNow's architecture, data model, and core concepts.
- Knowledge of RESTful API design principles and the ability to create and consume REST APIs in ServiceNow.
- Knowledge of configuring ServiceNow to receive requests from the API Gateway, including the correct HTTP methods (GET, POST, PUT, DELETE) and response handling.
- Good understanding of ACLs for API security
