We are seeking a highly skilled ServiceNow Administrator to take a key leadership role in managing and enhancing a mission-critical platform for a federal agency serving over 3500 users. In this position, you will be the technical owner responsible for the stability, security, and enhancement of the ServiceNow environment. This role requires a strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform, including its core modules (GRC, IRM, SPM, ITSM, LSD/LSM) and best practices, combined with experience working within DoD environments and adhering to strict process and policy governance and security protocols. This role requires collaboration across diverse teams, including business stakeholders, end-users, ServiceNow developers, and full stack data integrations development teams.
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary administrator for the ServiceNow enterprise platform, ensuring optimal performance, availability, and stability.
- Proactively monitor system health, manage platform performance, and lead optimization efforts to address and prevent issues.
- Stay current with ServiceNow releases, platform capabilities, and industry best practices to maintain and enhance platform improvement.
- Manage the deployment of update sets and system upgrades, adhering and contributing to change management protocols.
- Collaborate closely with ServiceNow developers to design, review, and deploy custom applications and enhancements, ensuring alignment with platform best practices and architectural standards.
- Partner with full-stack application developers to architect and implement custom integrations between ServiceNow and other critical enterprise systems.
- Perform comprehensive system and integration testing, including unit, functional, and regression testing, to ensure quality and reliability.
- Act as a technical advisor to business stakeholders, gathering requirements and translating them into effective technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex platform and application issues, providing timely and effective support to end-users.
- Develop and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including design specifications, process flows, user manuals, and training materials.
- Provide training and guidance to end-users and team members to encourage adherence to best practices.
- Administer all ServiceNow applications and modules in strict accordance with DoD security standards and organizational policies.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow administration and development.
- Must be able to obtain a DoD IAT 2 certification or higher required (CCNA-Security, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, or SSCP)
- Must possess ServiceNow Certified System Administrator certification (CSA).
- Additional ServiceNow Certifications are a plus (i.e. Certified Implementation Specialist - Strategic Portfolio Management and Risk and Compliance).
- Demonstrable experience with ServiceNow modules such as GRC, IRM, SPM, LSD/LSM.
- Experience collaborating with development teams on ServiceNow configurations and connecting ServiceNow with other enterprise systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills, with a proven ability to solve complex technical problems.
- Proven ability to engage with business stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and translate requirements into effective technical solutions on the ServiceNow platform.
- Experience working in a DoD environment and familiarity with DoD security regulations and policies preferred.
- Experience with Agile development methodologies is preferred.
