Main Activities:
The Serial Life Quality Manager (SLQM) makes valuable contributions and drives continuous improvements on vehicle warranty quality key objectives, which incorporate reducing current production issue failure rate, lowering warranty cost, minimizing warranty claims, and improving customer satisfaction. The role has immediate and visible impact on Stellantis propulsion systems quality by collaborating closely with cross functional teams including global quality, regional quality, manufacturing quality, supplier quality engineering, and cross car line project engineering.
The quality objectives are defined, aligned and adapted to propulsion systems roadmap. The quality convergence plan is built to meet these objectives. It is reinforced by the well-defined quality process. SLQM plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of our vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure achievement of quality objectives of propulsion systems;
- Provide executive level quality reports to leaderships;
- Propose technical solutions to be applied in mass production in the field;
- Drive warranty improvement by leading Quality Improvement Team (QIT) activities;
- Contribute to quality survey things gone wrong (TGW) improvement plan;
- Assist engineers on vehicle issue diagnosis and root cause analysis;
- Lead issue management and resolution process in precise, accurate and timely manner;
- Apply systemic approaches to quality issues required system level knowledge;
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality, project management or product development V-Cycle
- 2+ years experience with field warranty quality
- Proficiency in quality tools, methodologies, and customer claim management
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proficiency in quality tools and methodologies (e.g., APQP, DFSS, 8D, 6 sigma, RPS – Reactive Problem Solving, Shainin System / Red X, KT – Kepner Tregoe, etc.)
- Experience in vehicle/engine/transmission plant operations
- Intermediate to advanced AI or Copilot user experience
- Master black belt certification
Technical Expertise:
- Problem solving, quality process, product design (system, architecture), manufacturing quality, supplier quality, project management.
Leadership Traits:
- Ability to understand, communicate and articulate quality issues to align teams and prevent misunderstanding;
