About the role
- In this role you will be working in squads with a dedicated Manager and Lead, you will help with performing the work required to improve the performance of our domains. Supported with training, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and mentorship, the SEO Executive will be responsible for optimizing pages and internal linking, fixing issues and doing research to support new opportunities - all of which is integral for improving SEO visibility.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Undergoing keyword research, content gap analysis and competitor reviews, so to determine opportunities for driving traffic to our domains.
- Auditing pages with a view to maximizing their performance for both on-page optimization and internal linking.
- Fixing broken links, updating content and supporting the Editorial and Production teams with best practices - ensuring that our pages are optimized and best in class, and minimizing mistakes.
- Updating tasks as they are completed on our team project management platform, helping the management and leadership teams to see the progress and subsequent improvements coming from their efforts.
Requirements:
- Hands-on experience working with SEMRush, AHREFs, Majestic, Google Search Console and other similar industry tooling for research.
- A well thought through approach to optimizing pages, including but not limited to how to improve headings and content structure for search engines, as well as how to optimize meta data and content related to images and videos.
- A proactive approach to solving SEO issues, be that through desk research and looking at online communities, or by reviewing competitors and ranking data to infer possible signals being favored by search engines.
