Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer / Principal Systems Engineer for the Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) team. This position is located in Roy, Utah and supports the Sentinel program.

As an integral part of the Command Systems SEIT MS&A Execution team on the Sentinel program, you will focus on:
- Support analysis for requirement decomposition and traceability
- Support MBSE strategy and implementation
- Support design implementation in areas of power, structural, thermal, electrical, and signal analyses
- Coordinate with sub-contracted product teams for compliance with contractual SOW and established program model governance
- Contribute content for presentations and present to internal and external stakeholders
Basic Qualifications:
This requisition may be filled at either the Principal Systems Engineer level (T-03) or Sr. Principal Systems Engineer level (T-04).
Systems Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 2 years of experience with Bachelor's degree, 0 years of experience with Master's degree
Principal Systems Engineer:
- Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 Years of related experience; 3 Years with Masters; 1 Years with PhD
Required for both levels:
- Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need
- Demonstrated experience with mathematical modeling and simulation
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering principles• Knowledge of Design Engineering principles
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active U.S. Government Top Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope
- Experience with power systems (including but not limited to commercial power and hardware)
- Experience with critical signal analysis or end to end hardware analyses
- Experience with model verification and validation planning and execution
- Experience with Atlassian Tool Suite• Knowledge of Capital Analysis Tool• Knowledge of MBSE tools to include DOORS and CAMEO

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $118,900.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
