As an AI Engineer you will develop software solutions that support digital transformation and improve business performance within our Internal Firm Services practice. As a Senior Associate you will analyze complex problems, manage assigned workstreams, guide junior team members, and apply critical thinking to design, code, test, and support applications using modern engineering methods and technology resources. In this role at PwC, you will contribute to software innovation efforts, interpret data to inform recommendations, and build applications that align with broader business objectives while strengthening your technical skills and professional brand.
Responsibilities
- Designing and developing AI-enabled software solutions that support internal technology initiatives and digital transformation efforts
- Building scalable applications and services using programming languages, frameworks, and software engineering methods
- Applying AI fluency to integrate machine learning tools, automate workflows, and support human review of model outputs
- Translating business requirements into technical designs, user stories, and functional specifications for assigned workstreams
- Writing, reviewing, and refining code to align with coding standards, maintainability goals, and application lifecycle practices
- Testing, debugging, and troubleshooting software components to resolve defects and improve application reliability
- Evaluating data patterns and system behavior to inform solution improvements and implementation decisions
- Contributing to API design, microservices development, and cloud-native architecture for enterprise applications
- Reviewing deliverables from junior team members and providing guidance on technical methods, quality controls, and problem resolution
- Building relationships with internal stakeholders to understand priorities, clarify requirements, and adapt delivery as needs change
What You Must Have
- At least a Bachelor's degree or, in lieu of a degree, demonstrating in addition to the minimum years of experience required for the role, three years of specialized training and/or progressively responsible work experience in Software Engineering for each missing year of college is required
- At least 2 years of experience

- Preference for at least one of the following fields of study: Accounting, Business Analytics, Computer and Information Science, Computer Systems Analysis, Data Processing/Analytics/Science, Finance, Information Technology, Management Information Systems
- Demonstrating AI engineering skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript

The salary range for this position is: $55,000 - $151,470. For residents of Washington state the salary range for this position is: $55,000 - $187,000. Actual compensation within the range will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience, qualifications and location, and applicable employment laws. All hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
