Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is hiring a Staff Logistics Engineer. This opening is in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel Program. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities, and associated infrastructure.

The selected Staff Logistics Engineer is a team player; but also, a strong independent contributor with strong leadership skills, demonstrated problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, as well as interpersonal and organizational skills and a proactive, detail-oriented approach.
Primary responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:
- Perform Logistics Product Support Analyses to define parts, equipment, skills, and activities required for system sustainment and operational availability.
- Conduct trade studies and develop sustainment strategies that minimize logistics footprint while meeting performance requirements.
- Lead Logistics Support Analyses for the Sentinel program.
- Collect, track, and analyze usage rates, maintenance trends, inventory levels, and reliability data to inform sustainment decisions.
- Identify maintenance issues, recommend process improvements, and define maintenance objectives and requirements.
- Coordinate with engineering, manufacturing, and customers to exchange data, define calibration needs, and support field support requirements.
- Prepare and present technical information, analyses, and recommendations in internal and customer meetings.
- Manage repair reporting, supplier liaison, and outcomes.
- Contribute to proposal development and cost estimating for logistics support.
- Ensure compliance with applicable military logistics standards and documentation (e.g., MIL-STD-1388, MIL-HDBK-502).
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with 12 years of experience; or master’s degree with 10 years of experience; or PhD with 8 years of experience
- Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret Clearance and Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
- 5 years of experience interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and product data sheets for electrical / mechanical components and systems.
- 5 years of experience defining scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements, determining associated spares, tools, calibration, and manpower, and developing repair processes.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Active DoD Top Secret Clearance.
- Familiarity with Mil-STD-1388 type work products.
- Experience developing logistics work products on Department of Defense (DoD) programs.
- Knowledge of Integrated Product Support analysis in accordance with MIL-STD-1388, MIL-HDBK-502, or TA-STD-0017.
- Proficiency with logistics product database tools such as EAGLE, SLICWave, PowerLogJ, or comparable software.

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $114,800.00 - $172,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
