Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Sr. Principal System Engineer to support the Sentinel Program in Roy, UT.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Support system requirements development, management, analysis, and traceability, to translate customer requirements and CONOPS into systems requirements, and further allocate to lower-level requirements.
Assist with the generation and revision of executable system and subsystem requirements documents, interface documents, and test and verification documents.
Support systems engineering metrics and technical performance measurement tracking.
Support the preparation of system engineering materials during system reviews as needed.
Interface with inter-organizational management and external Customer to communicate technical briefing and program status.
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraint
Performs functional analysis, detailed trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into Hardware and Software specifications
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 8 Years of related experience; 6 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD
Must be a US Citizen with an active US Government Secret Clearance
5+ years experience with writing, maintaining, and/or owning interface requirements
Experience in systems engineering tools, such as DOORS, CAMEO.
Experience in configuration management and product lifecycle management tool(s).
Development of Interface Requirement Specifications (IRS) or Interface Control Documents (ICD)
Experience in technical documentation
Ability to get and maintain an SAP clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering approach.
Experience working in the defense industry or weapon system
Understanding of SSCMAN 91-710 Range Safety Compliance
Experience in developing an Operational Concept (OpsCon) document
Experience with large complex design and hardware integration efforts.
Experience in developing of Interface Requirement Specifications (IRS)
Experience in developing of Interface Control Documents (ICD)
Active Sentinel SAP clearance.

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
