Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking Software Systems Engineer/ Principal Software Systems Engineer. This position will be located in Roy, Utah or Huntsville, Alabama and supports the Sentinel program.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday offThis role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package. 

 

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:  

This position can be filled at Software Systems Engineer(T2) or Principal Software Systems Engineer(T3).

Software Systems Engineer: 02 years with Bachelor's in related field of study, Masters in Science with 0 years of experience, or 04 additional years in lieu of a degree

  • US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
  • Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
  • Experience developing software projects with C++
  • Experience deriving requirements from user's needs
  • Experience managing requirements in a tool, such as IBM DOORs or Jama
  • Experience creating Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models in Cameo or similar design modelling tool

Principal Software Systems Engineer: 05 Years with Bachelor’s in related field of study, 03 Years with Masters, 01 Years with PhD or 04 additional years in lieu of a degree. 

  • US Citizenship with Active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years.
  • Ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP).
  • Experience developing software projects with C++
  • Experience deriving requirements from user's needs
  • Experience managing requirements in a tool, such as IBM DOORs or Jama
  • Experience creating Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) models in Cameo or similar design modelling tool

 

Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:  

  • Familiarity with Command and Launch systems and mission objectives
  • Model Builder - Fundamental certification
  • Experience with Atlassian Jira and Confluence tools
  • Experience working in a cross-functional Scrum team
  •  Experience creating requirements Peer Review packages that include all artifacts required for the review

Primary Level Salary Range: $79,300.00 - $131,400.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $163,200.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
