Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Program Planning and Scheduling Manager 2 to join its team of diverse and qualified individuals. This position will be located in Roy, UT and will support the Sentinel (GBSD) program in the Strategic Deterrent Systems (SDS) division. Northrop Grumman supports the Air Force’s sustainment, development, production and deployment of hardware and system modifications for Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) Ground and Airborne Launch Control Systems, Launch Facilities and associated infrastructure.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Accountability for developing, maintaining, implementing and continuously improving the division EVMS compliant scheduling processes across all Segment operations to include MS Project Server and Oracle Primavera P6 environments and all program phases from early investment through sustainment and deactivation.
  • Responsible for leading the analyst team supporting activities including but not limited to: Digital Transformation, tool optimization, training and development for program support personnel, proposal and strategy support and specific program planning and scheduling activities in support of monthly deliverable (IPMDAR) generation.
  • Responsible for ensuring the scheduling implementation meets the reporting requirements along with providing analysis on metrics to provide insight into process excellence and continual improvement.
  • Provide day to day support to assigned segment team with guidance, troubleshooting, and satisfying programmatic requirements.
  • Manage multiple priorities and set expectations with the team.
  • Advise segment and program business managers on integrating project schedules with Earned Value Management and support internal and external reviews and audits.
  • This is an on-site position with minimal travel requirements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires US Citizenship with an active in-scope U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance (obtained/reviewed within the last 6 years) and able to obtain Special Access Program (SAP) within a reasonable period
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field with 8 years of related experience; 6 years with a master's degree; or 12 years of related experience may be accepted with a HS Diploma (or equivalent) in lieu of a degree
  • Requires a minimum 6 years of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule
  • Requires experience in program management/ execution and closeout
  • Requires experience and application of Earned Value Management System (EVMS) 
  • Requires experience with people leadership that includes performance management, career development, staffing, and merit planning 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Executive presence and comfort in communications at that level 
  • Experience building strong customer relationships
  • 1+ years program planning activities and/or teams in an EVMS environment
  • 1+ years experience working in a Microsoft Project Server and/or Oracle Primavera P6
  • SSI Tools experience
  • Experience in a DoD EMD environment
  • Cost / Schedule integration
  • Experience leading a team

This position’s standard work schedule is 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

Primary Level Salary Range: $126,600.00 - $189,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
