Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Principal / Sr Principal System Engineer (T03/T04 levels) supporting the Sentinel Test Network, specifically the Launch Execution Network (LEN) within the System Test Team. This position is located in Roy, Utah (or Vandenberg AFB, CA) and supports the Sentinel program.

What You’ll Get To Do:
Support the development and deployment of the Sentinel Test Network to support flight testing at Vandenberg Space Force Base.
Specific duties to include, but are not limited to the following:
System architecture and requirements development
Assist in engineering network solutions for new & existing systems
System performance assessment, requirements analysis, verification and validation, design, development, and integration
Create technical reports and present metric reports
Interface with internal and external customers
Basic Qualifications
This requisition may be filled at either the Principal Engineer (T-03 level) or Sr Principal Engineer (T-04 level).
Required for Both Levels:
Must be a US Citizen with an active U.S. Government Secret Clearance, at time of application, current and within scope, with an investigation date within the last 6 years
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
Experience with Systems Engineering Principles or understanding of the Systems Engineering V
Understanding of functional requirement development, requirements analysis, functional analysis, trades, and architecture definition
Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with a minimum 5 years of related experience; 3 years with a Master’s; or 1 years with a PhD
2 years of experience with DOORS or CAMEO
Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with a minimum 8 years of related experience; 6 years with a Master’s; or 4 years with a PhD
4 years of experience with DOORS or CAMEO
Preferred Qualification
Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar
ICBM Experience
Experience soliciting input from internal and external stakeholders, synthesizing data, and communicating complex results to technical and non-technical stakeholders at various levels
Familiarity with Agile engineering and Jira
Advanced use of standard Microsoft Office products to include development tools
Experience with modern (Model Based System Engineering) MBSE principles and SysML Modeling Language
Active Top Secret security clearance with adjudication in the last 6 years

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.

Primary Level Salary Range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00Secondary Level Salary Range: $122,800.00 - $184,200.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
