Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking to hire a Hardware Design Integration Systems Engineering Manager 2 to be located in Roy, UT.

What You Will Get To Do:

The Sentinel Hardware Design Integration Systems Engineering Lead will be responsible for the development of requirements, verification methods, model based subsystem/assembly definitions, and assembly description documents (e.g. theory of operations) for a set of ground based hardware subsystems. The successful candidate will inspire collaborative efforts across multiple IPTs enabling individual contributors to partner seamlessly with design and test personnel for the end-to-end development and validation of integrated assemblies.

Specific duties include:

• Driving methods that result in application specific tailoring of flow down requirements to specific integrated assemblies/groups

• Planning the parallel development of requirements, verification plans, and design engineering

• Implementing continuous improvement in the development and delivery of MBSE artifacts to hardware design and architecture teams (including feedback of design details that update/modify MBSE artifacts)

• Partnering with systems engineering subject matter experts to ensure individual contributors understand and implement best practices

• Reviewing systems engineering artifacts relevant to integrated assemblies and installations for accuracy and consistency

• Developing individual contributors skill sets to meet or exceed program needs and expectations

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and a minimum 8 years of related experience or Master’s degree with 6 years of related experience

• US Citizenship with Active Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date occurring in the last 6 years and Active Sentinel special access clearance (PAR).

• Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and using MBSE to decompose and define system/product functionality

• Experience in evaluating/writing requirements, leading small architecture teams, decomposing functionality in CAMEO.

• Experience using DOORS to manage requirements and specification baselines

• Experience with task management tools and managing the integration of systems engineers in a Integrated Product Team (IPT)

• Experience managing across engineering disciplines and IPTs

• Experience with developing assembly requirements, verifications methods, and theory of operations

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
• Electromechanical system design and development expertise from concept to fielding

• Proven ability to develop and communicate processes that allow teams to perform tasks with improved effectiveness

• Strong communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to maintain a consistent development strategy

• Multidisciplined technical breadth

Primary Level Salary Range: $139,100.00 - $208,700.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
