Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager 2. This position is located in Huntsville, Alabama and supports the Sentinel Program.

This is a functional home room (FHR) manager position, involving both the overall functional oversight and management of a Electrical Engineering group while maintaining a technical baseline of performance on program work. The candidate will spend ~20% of their time on functional/organizational support and ~80% of their time on a mix of technical program work from current/existing tasking, or potential future tasking. Functional management involves, but is not limited to, organizational administrative activities and helping employees’ performance and career development through guidance and training. Program responsibilities will be dependent upon programmatic technical work and may vary by individual.

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
You’ll Bring These Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) from an accredited university with 8 years of experience, or 6 years of experience with a Master's degree.
Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
3+ years of leadership experience in a multi-disciplined environment.
Experience working with Mechanical, Electrical, and/or Electronic Systems
Experience reading engineering drawings and specification sheets
Experience analyzing requirements and interface documentation
Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a geographically distributed environment
Must be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of tools - PowerPoint, Excel, Word
Experience resolving issues and providing technical support
Capable of working with minimal direction and in team environments.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
2+ years experience leading teams in a functional, programmatic or technical capacity.
1+ year experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule.
Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business need.
Proficient with PDM and/or CPLM
Experience deriving hardware-level requirements from interface, compliance, and performance requirements
Experience using cable routing functionality in Siemens NX
Experience designing or implementing systems using COTS hardware components

Primary Level Salary Range: $153,800.00 - $230,800.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
