As the senior technical and functional resource within the HRIS team, the Senior HRIS Analyst - Workday is responsible for the configuration, optimization, support, and continuous improvement of Workday solutions. The role partners with HR, Payroll, Benefits, IT, and business teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions, ensuring an exceptional employee and manager experience while adapting to evolving module ownership and organizational priorities.
Core Accountabilities
Stakeholder Engagement & Demand Management
● Build strong relationships with HR COEs, Payroll, Benefits, IT, and business teams to recommend scalable Workday solutions, while taking a proactive approach to suggest new strategies beyond immediate business needs.
● Consult with stakeholders to gather requirements, translate needs into functional designs, and ensure long-term system sustainability.
● Optimize the HRIS request pipeline via Jira, evaluating business value and risks to streamline stakeholder prioritization.
● Drive predictable service delivery through effort estimation, release planning, and governance metrics tracking.
Workday Solution Delivery
● Deliver Workday enhancements and projects from analysis through deployment, ensuring full alignment with organizational standards.
● Maximize system reliability and performance by conducting comprehensive functional, regression, and release readiness testing.
● Evaluate and mitigate cross-functional impacts across HR, Payroll, Benefits, Finance, and downstream systems.
● Resolve production issues efficiently using root cause analysis to implement sustainable, long-term solutions.
Operational Excellence & Governance
● Ensure system integrity, configuration quality, and data accuracy while establishing clear documentation and governance practices.
● Support annual HR operational processes, including payroll updates, legislative changes, and year-end activities.
● Monitor system health proactively to recommend compliance and security improvements.
● Participate in planned after-hours deployments and critical production support as required.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
● Identify automation opportunities to eliminate manual processes and enhance operational efficiency.
● Evaluate and adopt emerging Workday features, releases, and AI-enabled productivity tools to optimize service delivery.
● Contribute to the strategic HR Technology roadmap by aligning system innovation with industry best practices.
Leadership & Capability Building
● Elevate team capabilities by serving as a technical subject matter expert and mentoring colleagues.
● Lead high-impact initiatives and collaborate on enterprise projects to achieve strategic goals.

Qualifications
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in IT, HR, Business Administration, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Qualifications
● 7+ years of progressive HRIS experience, including 5+ years of hands-on Workday configuration across Benefits, Payroll, Time Tracking, and Absence Management. ● Experience leading system enhancements, mid-sized projects, and managing cross-functional priorities via Jira.
● Professional proficiency in both English and French (spoken and written).
Preferred Qualifications
● Current or previous Workday Pro Certifications.
● Experience with Workday releases, feature adoption, and integrations (EIBs, Core Connectors).
● Background supporting data governance, advanced reporting, and organizational change initiatives.
