About the Team:

Our mission is to redefine how rockets are built and launched. At the Cape launch site, our team handles all aspects of vehicle, payload, pad, and recovery operations. As a Welder on the Launch Team, you'll play a pivotal role in building critical components and systems on the TerranR launch site. Success in this role requires the ability to thrive in a fast-paced aerospace environment, complete complex projects, and collaborate seamlessly across teams. You should be capable of delivering high-quality work and managing projects with minimal supervision.

About the Role:

As a Welder on the Launch Team, you will be responsible for fabricating, fitting, and welding critical piping systems that support the Terran R launch site, including process piping, utility systems, and other ground support infrastructure. You will work closely with engineering, fabrication, and construction teams to ensure piping systems are installed safely, accurately, and to the highest quality standards. Your expertise in welding, attention to detail, and ability to produce high-quality welds in both shop and field environments will be essential to building reliable systems that support launch operations.

About You:

  • You have 5+ years of professional welding and fabrication experience, with a strong background in pipe welding and industrial systems
  • You're proficient in multiple welding processes, including TIG, MIG, FCAW, and stick welding, and can consistently produce high-quality welds
  • You can read and interpret isometric drawings, blueprints, weld procedures, and welding symbols
  • You have experience fitting, fabricating, and installing pipe and mechanical assemblies, with a strong attention to precision and quality
  • You're comfortable using a variety of fabrication and hand tools, including grinders, drills, saws, and other shop equipment
  • You have experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, reach lifts, and man lifts
  • You're able to safely lift up to 40 lbs. and thrive in an active construction or industrial environment

Nice to Haves but not required:

  • AWS or ASME welding certifications
  • Experience welding carbon steel, stainless steel, and other specialty alloys
  • Previous experience in aerospace, power generation, shipbuilding, petrochemical, or other heavy industrial environments
  • Experience working in fast-paced field construction, commissioning, or launch site operations where safety, quality, and execution are critical

Successful candidates must clear a background check administered by the US government to obtain clearance for on-site work at our government partner location in Cape Canaveral, Florida.
