Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Wealth Underwriter.
In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables and contribute to large-scale planning related to Wealth Underwriting
- Review, analyze, and evaluate borrower financial data for moderately complex high-net-worth loans to determine credit worthiness and monitor existing portfolio to identify issues that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors; present recommendations for resolving moderately complex situations
- Independently resolve moderately complex business, operational, or technical issues and lead team to meet deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of Wealth Underwriting functional area policies, procedures, regulations, and compliance requirements
- Preparation and review of underwriting memo covering a deep analysis of our clients, deal structure, and the underlying collateral
- Collaborate and consult with Wealth Underwriting peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
- Train & mentor junior colleagues along with reviewing, checking & overseeing and undertaking workload planning
- Provide input to assist leaders with credit risk management decisions to ensure satisfactory credit portfolio risk examinations
- At least an MBA or a CA, or an equivalent qualification
- 8-12 years of Credit Underwriting experience in a bank or rating agency
- Experience in writing detailed credit memos/papers is desirable
- Strong communication skills - both verbal and written. Ability to clearly & concisely speak on complex topics, as well as strong business writing skills
- High level of personal motivation and strong interpersonal skills
- Basic to Advanced excel skills to be able to manage and navigate across investor underwriting
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced production environment.

- Must be comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge on programming language a plus
