Job DescriptionWe are seeking an accomplished, visionary Total Rewards executive to lead the strategic design, execution, and continuous evolution of Experian’s reward proposition for our North America region. The ideal candidate will combine strategic foresight with operational excellence, driving global and regional programs that align with business objectives, ensure market competitiveness and foster employee engagement. This leader will also maintain strong governance standards, ensuring compliant, data‑driven, and technology‑enabled decision making across all elements of Total Rewards.
Reporting to both the North America Chief People Officer and the Global Reward Director, this role will serve as a key advisor to North America and Global senior leadership, guiding decisions on pay equity, transparency, and performance-based rewards. They will lead a team of talented total rewards professionals and oversee a broad portfolio including base pay, incentive compensation, long-term incentive plans, health and wellness benefits, retirement programs, recognition and M&A activities.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of leading global initiatives and teams, implementing scalable solutions and systems, and championing a culture of high-performance, fairness and transparency. The chosen candidate will use AI‑enabled, digital tools, and modern communication approaches to elevate transparency, personalization, and manager capability.
Responsibilities:
- Lead the strategy, design and execution of base pay, short term incentives, long term incentives, and recognition programs across North America and globally matrixed business groups. Ensure alignment with business and talent strategies as well as high-performance, equity, internal practice and compliance standards.
- Oversee all regional health & insurance, wellness, leaves, and retirement programs through an internal team and several external partners. Develop multi‑year benefits strategies focused on value, innovation, and inclusive design. Use data analytics to monitor, forecast, and improve benefits utilization and drive innovation and employee-centric solutions that support well-being, engagement and retention. Serve as the Chairperson of Experian’s U.S. Retirement Plan Committee (ensuring strong governance, member outcomes, and fiduciary stewardship).
- Be a key member of Experian’s Global Reward Council, shaping global reward philosophy and harmonizing programs and practices across the globe. Maintain strong reward governance and controls, ensuring consistency of decisions, documentation, and alignment with global standards.
- Advise senior leaders on complex executive compensation offers and market practices.
- Oversee Human Resources due diligence and integration for all North America acquisitions. Create and maintain a standardized Total Rewards M&A playbook to accelerate due diligence, integration, and harmonization activities across the region.
- Champion pay equity and pay transparency initiatives to strengthen organizational trust, enhance employee engagement and mitigate legal and reputational risks. Implement responsible data, analytics, and reporting frameworks to manage emerging pay transparency and pay equity regulations across states.
- Leverage advanced analytics - including AI‑enabled modeling - to drive pay decisions, market intelligence, and scenario analysis.
- Partner with HR Operations and Systems teams to optimize reward programs, analytics and manager/employee self-service. Represent the Reward function during Experian’s Oracle Cloud transformation.
- Lead on implementation and governance of career framework and performance enablement evolution with high-performance reward alignment for North America. Align reward frameworks with evolving skills‑based career structures and performance models, ensuring clear linkages between skills, performance, and reward outcomes.
- Collaborate with Finance and HR Business Partners to align reward decisions with people strategy, headcount planning and budget processes.
- Drive modern, digital‑first communication strategies to increase manager capability, pay literacy, and understanding of benefits across the workforce.
- Stay informed on market trends, legislative changes, and emerging best practices in reward management (particularly Generative and Agentic AI) for technology-focused global organizations.
- Progressive Total Rewards, HR or relevant experience, including leadership roles, preferably in a publicly-traded, global technology company.
- Proven ability to develop and implement compensation strategies that align with business strategy, including executive compensation.
- Deep understanding of various compensation and benefits programs and market practices.
- Knowledge of relevant U.S. and international compensation and benefits regulations
- Experience with mergers and acquisitions activities, including due diligence, integration and reward program harmonization.
- Ability to lead transformation initiatives (technology, simplification, harmonization) in partnership with other Centers of Excellence.
- Strong business/financial acumen with strong analytical skills.
- Experience leading communication strategies and building manager capability around compensation and benefits topics.
- Ability to build credibility and drive change with business leaders and stakeholders at all levels
- Operates effectively in a dual reporting, cross functional matrix; influences without authority across HR, Finance, Legal, IT, and business leadership.
- Experience as a people leader, having practiced coaching, mentoring, and building high performing teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.
Location
- Costa Mesa, California or close to one of our North America hubs (New York City, Chicago, San Jose, Austin, Allen)
- Periodic travel required

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets. The base pay range for this position is listed above. Within this range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors such as job-related skills, experience, and education.
