We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Securities Finance Product Development to join our Global Markets team. This role is located in New York or Pittsburgh.

Role Overview:

We’re seeking a product development self-starter to drive AI‑infused product development and commercial roll‑out for new and evolving Financing offerings across jurisdictions, client segments, and channels. You will own the product lifecycle for key initiatives - from market‑informed ideation and strategy, through design and delivery, go‑to‑market, and post‑launch optimization—ensuring end‑to‑end profitability, measurable client adoption, and platform transformation.

We design and deliver financing solutions that help clients access new markets, improve efficiency, and unlock value across the investment lifecycle. Our strategy is built on three imperatives:

  • Enable market evolution: lead delivery of infrastructure change (e.g., CCPs and clearing models) to unlock new client activity and reduce risk.
  • Innovate with intent: bring new‑to‑market solutions from concept to adoption, focusing on scalable client needs and disciplined execution.
  • Expand the footprint: extend proven Agency and Principal products into new jurisdictions, client segments, and counterparties to drive sustainable revenue growth.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:

  • Lead development of Principal Securities Financing
    • Lead scalability and optimization of the Principal Securities Financing business both within and across business lines. You will implement optimization techniques to improve internalization and financial returns
    • Lead development of a extensible margin engine that can scale across the principal businesses.
    • Scale client service infrastructure.
    • Own delivery plans for prioritized initiatives and meet time‑bound completion targets with cross‑functional partners.
  • Product expansion and jurisdiction rollout
    • Lead expansion of existing Financing (Agency & Principal) products into prioritized client, borrower, and securities jurisdictions, balancing commercial impact, regulatory readiness, and operational scalability.
    • Own delivery plans for prioritized initiatives and meet time‑bound completion targets with cross‑functional partners.
  • Product/Platform strategy and market‑informed ideation
    • Drive strategic initiatives across Financing by mobilizing and influencing stakeholders; be the catalyst that provides structure and frameworks that encourage bold ideas and convert them into executable programs with clear objectives and outcomes.
    • Contribute to the forward strategy for Financing products; translate group vision into a ranked, capacity‑realistic roadmap with explicit value hypotheses.
    • Create/leverage listening mechanisms: client councils, Sales/Trader feedback loops,  competitive scans, regulatory/market structure watch, and industry forums—convert signals into product opportunities, experiments and business cases.
  • New solutions design and launch
    • Product definition and requirements: convert validated opportunities into clear problem statements, scope, commercials, eligibility, and embedded risk/controls; define MVP boundaries and acceptance criteria.
    • Stakeholder engagement and co‑design: co-ordinate end‑to‑end product design across Sales and Trading, Engineering, Operations, Risk, Legal, Compliance; align on scope, eligibility, risk mitigants and controls, and commercial model; secure cross‑functional sign‑offs.
    • Commercialization and client readiness: define pilot eligibility, onboarding playbooks, client materials, and readiness checklists; ensure operational runbooks, test plans, and service levels are in place for MVP → GA.
    • Pilot governance and stage gates: run pilots with anchor clients where applicable; manage readiness gates with accountable owners; track issues/decisions and execute remediation prior to scale‑up.
  • AI adoption: ideation to delivery
    • Execute a dual‑track AI portfolio across Product Development:
      • Incremental improvements (e.g., workflow automation, reporting assistants).
      • Transformative initiatives (e.g., AI‑assisted product discovery, intelligent client interfaces, platform‑level analytics services).
    • Partner with Data/AI pods to deliver governed AI solutions; define product requirements, success metrics, and adoption plans.
  • Product governance and efficiency
    • Adhere to product governance requirements in the delivery of new products and modifications. Challenge status quo, streamline governance to balance risk management, meeting policy requirements with user experience and commerciality.

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in financial markets
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in Securities Finance, Prime Brokerage
  • In-depth knowledge of Principal Securities financing and associated regulatory, risk management and operational impacts
  • Good technology skills
  • Expertise in end-to-end product implementation, including collaboration with cross-functional teams.
