The RoleWe are seeking an exceptional leader to launch, scale, and own Navan’s Meetings & Events business. This is a high-impact, cross-functional leadership role responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and execution of M&E offerings—spanning product, commercial, and operational pillars.
As the SVP of M&E, you will build a new line of business within Navan’s core travel platform, partnering with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and Operations to create a world-class, tech-enabled M&E solution for our clients.
What You'll Do- Strategy & Vision: Define and own the global M&E strategy aligned with Navan’s broader travel & expense platform; identify key market segments, product requirements, and competitive differentiation.
- Product Development: Define a clear product vision and strategy and drive the execution of the product roadmap in close collaboration with the product and engineering teams.
- Go-to-Market Leadership: Develop and execute commercial strategies across pricing, positioning, and packaging; partner closely with GTM and marketing to drive demand and revenue.
- Operational Excellence: Build and scale a hybrid service model that combines high-touch concierge support with scalable, tech-driven workflows for a wide range of event formats – from team offsites to large-scale conferences.
- Team Building: Hire, inspire, and lead a high-performing team across product / engineering, operations, and GTM / account management as the M&E business scales.
- Customer Focus: Engage directly with customers to understand their needs, validate product-market fit, inform product roadmap decisions, and ensure adoption and retention.
- Number focus: Establish clear goals, KPIs, and operating cadences to track business performance and drive continuous improvement
- Cross-Functional Partnership: Team up with other Navan team’s such as Travel, Expense, PLG / Growth, Finance, and Legal to and deliver a seamless customer experience while ensuring operational scalability and compliance.
What We're Looking For
- 10+ years of experience in high-performing organizations, ideally in a tech environment in general management roles
- Proven track record of launching or scaling a business line or product offering from zero to significant revenue in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
- Strong strategic and commercial acumen with experience in GTM strategy, sales enablement, and partner ecosystem development
- Product-oriented mindset and experience working closely with product and engineering teams to develop tech-enabled solutions
- Customer-centric and hands-on mentality with experience in scaling high-performance operations teams
- Excellent organization, communication, and stakeholder management skills across functions and levels with proven track record of leading large teams around the globe
For roles with on-target-earnings (OTE), the pay range includes both base salary and target incentive compensation. Target incentive compensation for some roles may include a ramping draw period. Compensation is higher for those who exceed targets. Candidates may receive more information from the recruiter.
