We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Fullstack Engineer to join our Fund & Investor Solutions team. This role is located in Boston, MA
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Consult with internal business groups to provide high-level application software development services and technical support
- Program well-designed, testable, efficient code and integrate software components into fully functional software systems
- Analyse, design, and develop tests and test-automation suites; develop flowcharts, layouts, and documentation to satisfy requirements and solutions
- Maintain software functionality and currency, actively participate in code reviews, and apply security and privacy principles
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
- 10+ years of software development experience, including significant hands-on experience with enterprise application development; experience in securities, banking, or financial services is a plus.
- Prior experience leading or managing engineering teams, preferably small to mid-sized teams of 5–10 engineers, with demonstrated ability to mentor, guide, and deliver through others while remaining technically hands-on.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Framework, Spring MVC, Spring Boot, design patterns, microservices architecture, and RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of AI agent architecture, LLM-based application patterns, RAG, prompt engineering, grounding, evaluation, and responsible AI considerations.
- Experience with AI code-assist technologies such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, Windsurf, or similar developer productivity tools.
- Strong understanding of DevOps principles, secure coding practices, Agile delivery, CI/CD automation, and modern engineering best practices.
- Proficiency in building and automating CI/CD pipelines on large-scale container platforms using Docker, Kubernetes, GitLab, or equivalent tools.
- Experience with observability, production support, SRE practices, incident management, performance tuning, and operational resilience.
- Experience with batch monitoring and job scheduling tools such as Airflow, Autosys, Control-M, or equivalent platforms.
- Proficiency in scripting, SQL, stored procedures, transaction management, and integration with enterprise data platforms.
- Strong knowledge of code quality and application security tools such as SonarQube, Veracode, dependency scanning, and secure SDLC practices.
- Ability to set technical direction, influence architecture decisions, manage delivery priorities, and communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, business partners, architects, and engineering teams.
- Demonstrated ability to balance hands-on engineering contribution with leadership responsibilities, including planning, mentoring, delivery management, and production accountability.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills, with a passion for building high-quality, resilient, and AI-enabled enterprise solutions

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $102,000 and $200,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and company- sponsored benefit programs.
This position is at-will and the Company reserves the right to modify base (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team.
