Senior UXO Expert

Job Description

For our UXO Risk Mitigation center of Excellence, we are looking for a Senior UXO Expert, based in Nootdorp – The Netherlands.

As a Senior UXO Expert you are the technical lead within Fugro for UXO risk mitigation. This means you create global procedures and are involved in all aspect of the UXO risk mitigation process including but not limited to the risk assessment, survey, ID/C and ALARP sign-off. Your main objectives are to guide and advice the project teams during the preparation phase and to execute the work in the field. In addition, you lead initiatives that improve the UXO solution offering by means of innovations or improvements. Finally in this role you also have the opportunity to perform work in multiple locations offshore and/or onshore.

Your role

• You act as the Global technical lead for the UXO risk mitigation solution and are responsible for the global UXO IMS system, ensuring compliance with rules and regulations;

• You are responsible for project planning, execution and reporting in accordance with the CS-OOO regulations and you coordinate and conduct field work, where teamwork is considered key;

• You act as a sparring partner for, and present areas for UXO mitigation improvements to, local and corporate management;

• You participate in (international) engagements, e.g. on business processes, organisations, projects and IT applications & processes;

• You take part in the reporting process and suggest follow-up activities for identified observations to bring processes to a higher level;

• You ensure a high level of quality, with focus on efficiency and effectiveness on internal processes.

• You act a product owner for new UXO innovations and solutions developed within Fugro.

Your track record

• You have a BSc. degree in a relevant discipline and a valid OOO-deskundige Certificate;

• You have previous working experience acquired in a marine or land environment and a proven interest in IT;

• You have strong analytical skills, a problem-solving ability, broad interests and intrinsic curiosity;

• You have experience in leading teams in a safe and efficient way;

• You enjoy working in a team and have good communication skills in English or Dutch (verbal and written).
