About You

As a Senior User Experience Researcher at Chorus Innovations, you will play a crucial role in shaping the user experience of our digital health solutions. You will lead user research efforts for projects and clients, employing a deep understanding of human behavior, psychology, and technology to uncover valuable insights. Your expertise will guide our product design and development process, ensuring that we create intuitive, user-friendly, and impactful healthcare products that address the needs of our diverse user base.

What You'll Do

Research Leadership and Research Execution

  • Design, plan, and execute user research (qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods) studies to gain comprehensive insights into user behaviors, needs, and pain points.
  • Identify appropriate research methods, such as interviews, surveys, usability tests, and ethnographic studies, and apply them effectively to answer critical product-related questions.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including community engagement, customer success, designers, product managers, and engineers, to timely integrate research findings into the product development process.

Artifacts and Deliverables

  • Develop and socialize detailed artifacts and deliverables based on research findings (i.e., user journeys, personas, reports).
  • Create compelling narratives to aid the design and development teams in understanding our end-users.

Data Analysis and Insights

  • Analyze research data, employing appropriate analysis techniques, to derive actionable insights and inform product improvements.
  • Translate research findings into clear and actionable recommendations, presenting them to stakeholders and driving decision-making.

Competitive Analysis

  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitive products, and best practices in user experience research and design within the healthcare technology sector.
  • Conduct competitive analyses to identify strengths and weaknesses of competing products and identify areas for differentiation.

Mentorship and Collaboration

  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior researchers and team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.
  • Collaborate with other research and design teams to share knowledge, methodologies, and insights to foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Requirements

  • Preferred but not required: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Cognitive Psychology, User Experience Design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) leading user experience research initiatives for digital products, ideally within the healthcare or health technology domain.
  • Strong expertise in various user research methods, including usability testing, jobs to be done, interviews, surveys, and analytics tools.
  • Proficient in data analysis and visualization techniques to derive meaningful insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex research findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of user-centered design principles and their application in the development of intuitive user interfaces.
  • Familiarity with participatory design/service design and previous experience collaborating and engaging with community partners (i.e., non-profits, education, behavioral health centers, etc.).
  • Passion for staying updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in user experience research and design.
  • A collaborative, proactive, and adaptable mindset, able to thrive in a fast-paced startup environment.

The anticipated base salary for this position is $120,000 to $150,000.

The base salary offered is determined by several factors, including but not limited to the applicant's qualifications, relevant experience, specific skills, level of education, certifications or professional licenses, and geographic location where the job will be performed. Please note that the compensation details listed in US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include any bonus, equity, or benefits.

Total compensation package also includes performance bonus and stock options. Final compensation will vary based on experience and various other factors.
