  • Partner with the Group Benefits business leaders to understand the needs of the sales organization and define how digital demo tools will play a critical role in both selling MetLife products and in servicing our group customers
  • Devise scalable solutions, the components of which can become part of the MetLife global design system
  • Contribute to the design iteration process, from user flows through progressively higher fidelity deliverables, working with cross-functional teams to vet approach and feasibility as you go.
  • Design and build UI components in Figma, leveraging the MetLife design system
  • Contribute to usability testing plans to validate design decisions
  • Ensure that designs and code are accessible to all users

What You Need to Succeed:
Required:

  • 5+ years experience designing responsive websites and mobile applications for complex, multi-dimensional programs
  • Experience working with Lean UX and Agile methods
  • Highly skilled in user experience fundamentals, such as research, wire framing, creating clickable prototypes, usability testing.
  • Strong experience in user interface design, interaction design, information architecture, visual design, and extensive experience designing transactional user experiences from information architecture through brand-compliant production-ready prototypes
  • Experience rooting out alternative scenarios from provided requirements, seeing where customers might need extra support or errors might occur.
  • Ability to create production-ready design assets for handoff to UI developers using Figma
  • A team player who collaborates well with multi-disciplined teams, skilled at giving and receiving design critique and able to be self-directed. Willing to take ownership of the assigned work.
  • Experience successfully partnering and building alignment with product managers, developers, business analysts, content strategists, design researchers and other designers to arrive at optimal solutions
  • Proven track record of using data and customer feedback to measure the effectiveness of designs and pivot as needed
  • Strong communication skills with ability to articulate and optimize design based on the value to the user and the business.
  • Experience thinking about customer experiences end-to-end and across communications channels
  • Comfortable working with established design systems, while also being able to contribute to them.
  • Proficiency with Adobe XD and Figma
  • Ability to navigate complexity and make sense of ambiguity
  • Ability to manage competing priorities and timelines
  • Ability to take direction and work in a team environment, while also owning initiatives
  • Experience working in a company with a strong brand presence, and either developing a design system or working successfully within one
