- Establish and implement the overall design strategy for digital products and websites.
- Define and optimize design process and tools.
- Lead UX design activities on initiatives from beginning to end for ULs digital products and websites balancing multiple product's needs at once.
- Understand and advocate for client and end user needs.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to help define business and feature requirements, user scenarios, and use cases.
- Create UX and design assets including process flows, site amps, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, and mockups to effectively communicate high-level design strategies and detailed interaction behaviors.
- Present design solutions in ways that communicate the value of design decisions.
- Work closely with product stakeholders to ensure a full understanding of the product teams needs and priorities.
- Provide design leadership to technical teams.
- Mentor and assist other UX Designers.
- Lead weekly team meetings and design reviews.
- Work within project timelines, deliver design assets to support product roadmap.
- Evangelize user experience and user-centered design throughout the company.
- Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelors' degree or demonstrated competency in Usability, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology or relevant field.
- Expert knowledge of modern design/prototyping tools.
- 6 years of User Experience design experience or demonstrated competency.
- Demonstrated ability in one more additional areas of user-centered design such as; content strategy, information architecture, or visual design.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in modern research, prototyping, and design tools.
- Expert knowledge of user-centered design methodologies, usability principles, information architecture and interaction design.
- Take ownership for self-development, stay current with design patterns, best practices, and tools in the field of UX.
- Can coach and mentor others.
