Information Technology Strategies, Inc. is a government IT solutions provider servicing commercial and government initiative in various parts of the United States. We are currently seeking a Sr. UNIX Administrator to work for our company.
Summary:
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
- Client Agency is Defense of Defense.
- Will be responsible for the operation support and maintenance of UNIX systems, ensuring their optimal performance and reliability.
Requirements:
- Must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Government SECRET / TOP SECRET Clearance. (Basic Federal Clearance requirements are U.S. Citizenship, clear criminal history check, no recent or pending bankruptcies)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with UNIX administration.
- Be able to occasionally participate in on call duties.
- Experience supporting and managing more than 100 servers.
- Familiarity with data centers and coordinating system activities with them.
- Have a Proven track record of leading and completing large-scale projects.
- Hands-on experience with scripting languages (shell, Python, Perl, or Ruby).
- Knowledge of system management platforms like Satellite, Puppet, or similar tools.
- Familiarity with VMWare virtualization technology.
- Understanding of SAN storage concepts and management.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting networking devices, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Experience in managing and supporting databases (Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Familiarity with web servers, Java application servers, and Oracle Exadata.
- Knowledge/experience with web development and associated technologies.
- Have hands-on experience with LDAP and have the ability to query data from it.
