Position Summary
As a Senior UI/UX Developer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and front-end architecture of our digital products. You’ll leverage your deep expertise in React JS and modern UI/UX principles to build intuitive, high-performing, and visually compelling web applications. Beyond coding, you will actively champion design consistency, mentor team members, and collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering stakeholders to drive usability improvements and boost conversion metrics.
This role demands a proactive mindset—someone who doesn’t just implement designs but actively contributes to refining them through data-informed discussions, usability best practices, and a user-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, responsive front-end applications using React JS, ensuring seamless performance across devices and browsers.
- Collaborate proactively with product managers, UX/UI designers, and backend engineers to translate business goals and user needs into elegant, functional interfaces.
- Lead discussions around UI/UX improvements, using analytics, user feedback, and industry best practices to propose and implement changes that enhance usability and increase conversion rates.
- Establish, document, and enforce consistent front-end development practices across the team to ensure code quality, maintainability, and design-system alignment.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback and ensuring adherence to architectural standards, performance benchmarks, and accessibility guidelines.
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers through pair programming, knowledge sharing, and regular feedback—fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
- Refactor and optimize legacy code to improve performance, reduce technical debt, and align with modern React patterns and best practices.
- Stay current with emerging front-end technologies, design trends, and UX research, evaluating their applicability to our product ecosystem.
- Contribute to and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including component libraries, style guides, and onboarding resources.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Human-Computer Interaction, Design, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- 5+ years of professional experience in front-end development, with a strong emphasis on React JS and modern UI/UX implementation.
- Demonstrated experience collaborating directly with UX/UI designers and influencing product decisions based on usability and conversion data.
- Proven track record of mentoring developers and improving team-wide engineering standards.
- Strong command of JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, CSS3, and responsive design principles.
- Expertise with state management (Redux, Context API, or similar) and component-driven architecture.
- Experience integrating with RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data flows.
- Proficiency with Git, modern build tools (e.g., Webpack, Vite), and testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library).
- Solid understanding of web accessibility (WCAG), performance optimization, and cross-browser compatibility.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate design and technical trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with design systems (e.g., Storybook, Figma integration)
- Experience with TypeScript
- Knowledge of A/B testing frameworks or analytics tools (e.g., Google Optimize, Mixpanel)
- Exposure to UX research methods or conversion rate optimization (CRO) practices
- Contributions to open-source projects or design/developer communities
- AI lead best-practices and tools.
