The UI Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing user interface components for web and mobile applications. This role focuses on delivering high-quality, responsive, and intuitive user experiences while collaborating closely with UX designers, backend engineers, and product stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have strong front-end engineering expertise and a deep understanding of modern UI frameworks, performance optimization, and accessibility standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain reusable UI components using modern JavaScript frameworks (React/Angular/Vue)
- Translate UX wireframes, prototypes, and design specifications into responsive, high-performance interfaces
- Ensure UI consistency by implementing design systems, style guides, and component libraries
- Optimize UI for maximum speed, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility
- Collaborate with product managers, UX designers, and engineering teams to define and refine requirements
- Integrate UI components with backend services using REST APIs or GraphQL
- Conduct code reviews, troubleshoot UI issues, and ensure adherence to best practices
- Implement accessibility (A11y) standards and ensure WCAG compliance
- Stay updated with the latest UI technologies, frameworks, and industry trends
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
- 6+ years of experience in front-end/UI development
- Hands-on experience with UI frameworks such as React, Angular, or Vue.js
- Experience with build tools such as Webpack, Vite, Babel, or similar
- Solid debugging skills and experience using browser dev tools
- Knowledge of CSS frameworks (Tailwind, Bootstrap, Material UI).
- Good knowledge of accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1) and best practices
- Good knowledge on backend skills with a focus on python and basic SQL
- Understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and performance optimization
- Familiarity with version control tools like Git/GitHub/GitLab
- Solid proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with state management libraries (Redux, Zustand, MobX, NgRx, Vuex)
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments
- Knowledge of UI testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress)
- Understanding of UX principles, user flows, and design thinking
- Proven exposure to micro-frontend architecture
