Primary Responsibilities:
- Design, build, and maintain reliable, scalable, and secure systems on Azure Public Cloud
- Develop and implement monitoring, alerting, and logging solutions
- Define and track SLIs (Service Level Indicators), SLOs (Service Level Objectives), and manage error budgets
- Automate manual processes to improve efficiency and reduce human error
- Manage capacity planning and ensure infrastructure can handle growth
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to improve deployment pipelines
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for incidents and implement long-term fixes
- Optimize system availability, latency, and performance
- Create and maintain runbooks, playbooks, and documentation for reliability practices
- Drive best practices in change management, security, and disaster recovery
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in technical field OR equivalent work experience
- 10+ years of relevant professional work experience
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure)
- Experience with monitoring and Observability tools (Prometheus, Splunk, SplunkOGrafana, ELK, Datadog, etc.)
- Expertise in CI/CD pipelines, containers (Docker, Container app,Git ,Git Action), and infrastructure as code (Terraform)
- Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix systems and networking fundamentals
- Proficiency in at least one programming/scripting language (Python, Go, Java, Bash, etc.)
- Own reliability and operational health of services using:
- Azure App Gateway (WAF, routing, failover)
- Azure Container Apps or container-based workloads
- Proven ability to implement best practices for fault tolerance, autoscaling, and disaster recovery
- Proven solid problem-solving skills with a focus on incident response and troubleshooting
- Proven excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Work with cross-functional teams in engineering, operations, and product
- Be part of a 24/7 on-call rotation for critical services
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Architect, or Platform Engineering
- Exposure to distributed systems, microservices architecture, and large-scale applications
- Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards
