Senior Treasury Analyst - Sydney

Convera is looking to hire a Senior Treasury Analyst within the Treasury Trading team to assist with the management of the company’s day to day currency positions arising from its payments and hedging products. This position will report to the Senior Treasury Manager and is based in Sydney.  This is a hybrid role.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage Convera’s FX exposures by hedging client trade activity with our liquidity providers within prescribed risk limits.
• Quote FX prices across multiple products: spot, forwards, swaps, and NDFs
• Manage the lifecycle of our derivatives portfolio – from executing options and managing triggers to processing expiries and fixings.
• Execute trades on behalf of the Cash Management team to ensure adequate funding across our accounts.
• Operational functions relating to trade capture.  This may include but not limited to deal entry, trade amendments, queries investigations and internal client servicing.
• Build and deliver ad hoc analysis and reporting on dealing activities.
• This is a hybrid role, split between our modern Sydney office next to Wynyard station with water and city views, and work from home.

What you will need

• 2 to 5 years of experience in a FX role.  This can be within trading, sales or product.
• Knowledge of financial markets and FX instruments, including spot, forwards, swaps, NDFs and options.
• Ability to work in a fast paced and pressured environment with competing priorities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• You must have full permanent working rights in Australia to be considered for this role.

Education and Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance or related field is preferred.
• CFA qualification or progression towards would be an advantage.
• Proficiency in Excel with coding experience in VBA, Python and or SQL a bonus.
