Job Description Summary

Dauch is searching for a Senior Treasury Analyst - Risk Management to join our team. This position will be based out of our World Headquarters location, based in Detroit, MI.
This role supports Dauch’s insurance, risk management, and treasury functions by administering global insurance programs, managing risk mitigation activities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and financial reporting requirements. This role partners across the business to evaluate and reduce risk exposures, support foreign currency and pension-related activities, maintain internal controls, and contribute to enterprise risk management initiatives and special treasury projects.

Job Description:

  • Coordinate renewal activities for U.S. and Global insurance placements, including among other things, preparation of submission information, coordination of broker meetings, and placement strategy.

  • Maintain global insurance policy listing and reports of open claim activity.

  • Evaluate insurance policy lines, limits and deductibles to ensure adequate coverages are in effect.

  • Coordinate claims filing, analysis, and investigation of claims, as needed.

  • Prepare monthly accounting for insurance matters, and annual budgeting for U.S. policy placements.

  • Coordinate Certificates of Insurance requirements for Global Dauch entities.

  • Perform contract reviews for insurance purposes, as needed.

  • Monitor fire protection visits and surveys, participating in facility risk management activities from time-to-time.

  • Assist the Risk Manager in projects to optimize insurance programs, assess feasibility of new risk management strategies and ideas, and related activities.

  • Prepare consolidated accounting for the U.S. Workers Compensation programs.

  • Coordination of annual Workers Compensation liability valuations and collateral requirements to support the programs. Partners with Human Resources to prepare analysis of claim activity and support proactive activities to reduce risk.

  • Support the enterprise risk management (ERM) process, risk management training, and communication initiatives.  This may include research, development of presentation and/or discussion materials, or project management.

  • Assist in the identification and evaluation of the Company's foreign exchange exposures.

  • Maintain and monitor compliance with applicable laws, such as Dodd-Frank and EMIR.

  • Prepare foreign currency reporting and analysis for management for budgeting or forecasting purposes.

  • Perform accounting for derivatives, including hedge accounting documentation and reconciliations.

  • Prepare support for financial disclosures related to Derivatives, Risk Management and Fair Value presentation.

  • Prepare an annual FX benchmarking study.

  • Execute various activities related to Dauch's pension plan assets and investments, including preparation of pension plan asset disclosures for financial reporting purposes, certain pension trust administrative activities, support of 401(k) investment reviews and other investment related fiduciary activities.

  • Sarbanes Oxley testing or review functions.

  • Participate in onsite Treasury or Facilities operations Reviews.

  • All other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field of study.

  • 5+ years of financial, accounting, or risk management experience.

  • Experience or familiarity with corporate insurance risk management.

  • Advanced experience utilizing Microsoft Excel.
