Position DetailsWe’re now looking for a Senior Transport Planning Analyst to join our team and play a key role in improving the way we plan, optimise and execute transport across our national network.
About the RoleThis is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on transport planning optimisation and analysis.
You’ll work closely with operations, planners and leadership to review transport plans, analyse performance and improve outcomes — ensuring plans are practical, cost-effective and operationally efficient.
As the planning subject matter expert, you will support the team in providing oversight, coaching, clear planning principles and data-led decision-making.
Your key responsibilities will be:Review and analyse transport plans generated through TMS systems (e.g. Blue Yonder)
Identify optimisation opportunities across routes, loads and scheduling
Translate planning outputs into actionable insights for operations teams
Monitor planning performance (cost, utilisation, service levels)
Support continuous improvement of planning processes and systems
Partner with stakeholders across transport, warehousing, finance and safety
Contribute to transport planning standards and best practices nationally
About You
You’re a detail-oriented, analytical thinker who enjoys solving complex logistics challenges. Ideally, you also enjoy coaching and mentoring team members and be looking to advance you career in leadership.
You will bring:
Experience in transport planning, logistics or supply chain analysis
Exposure to TMS platforms (e.g. Blue Yonder, ORTEC or similar)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Understanding of transport operations and planning trade-offs
Ability to communicate insights clearly to operational teams
Experience in FMCG, cold chain or time-sensitive logistics
Exposure to Power BI or data visualisation tools
Understanding of Chain of Responsibility requirements
Work on national-scale transport optimisation challenges
Exposure to advanced planning tools and systems
