Senior Test / QA Engineer – Automation & IoT
About the Role
We are looking for a proactive and technically strong Senior QA / Quality Engineer to help strengthen quality engineering and automation practices across our IoT platform and edge-device ecosystem.
The ideal candidate combines strong automation skills with a quality-first mindset and is comfortable working across UI, API, integration, and end-to-end testing. This role requires active collaboration with development, architecture, and product teams to improve release confidence, test coverage, and overall product quality.
Experience with Playwright is preferred.

Key Responsibilities
- Own and drive test scenarios, test coverage, and release readiness from a QA perspective
- Proactively identify quality risks, gaps, dependencies, and edge cases during feature development and release planning
- Design, develop, and maintain automated test suites using Playwright (preferred)
- Define and execute smoke, sanity, regression, integration, and end-to-end testing strategies
- Collaborate closely with developers, architects, product owners, and scrum teams to ensure quality is built into the development lifecycle
- Perform API, UI, integration, and system-level testing across cloud and edge-device ecosystems
- Contribute to improving release confidence, test processes, and QA best practices
- Support CI/CD integration for automated test execution
- Analyze defects, perform root-cause analysis, and contribute to continuous quality improvements
- Mentor junior QA team members and support the growth of automation and quality engineering practices
Required Skills & Experience
- 5–10 years of experience in software quality assurance and testing
- Strong hands-on experience in automation testing
- Experience with Playwright preferred
- Strong understanding of API testing, integration testing, and end-to-end validation
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments
- Good debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and proactively drive quality improvements
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with IoT platforms, gateways, edge devices, embedded systems, or industrial software products
- Familiarity with device-to-cloud communication workflows
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution
- Experience with Python, TypeScript, or similar scripting/programming languages
- Understanding of Linux-based environments and system-level troubleshooting
- Exposure to cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
