We are seeking an experienced Azure AI Specialist to lead the design, implementation, governance, and optimization of AI solutions across the enterprise. This role will focus on leveraging Microsoft Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI, Microsoft Copilot technologies, machine learning, and automation platforms to drive business value, improve operational efficiency, and accelerate digital transformation initiatives.

The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in Azure cloud technologies, artificial intelligence, machine learning, data integration, security, and enterprise architecture. This individual will work closely with business stakeholders, infrastructure teams, security teams, and application owners to deliver scalable and secure AI solutions.

Responsibilities

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

AI Strategy & Architecture

  • Design and implement enterprise AI solutions using Microsoft Azure AI Services.
  • Develop AI roadmaps aligned with business objectives and digital transformation strategies.
  • Architect scalable, secure, and cost-efficient AI platforms in Azure.
  • Evaluate emerging AI technologies and recommend adoption strategies.

Azure AI & Machine Learning

  • Deploy and manage Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Azure Cognitive Services, and Azure Machine Learning solutions.
  • Build, train, fine-tune, and deploy machine learning models.
  • Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions leveraging enterprise data.
  • Implement prompt engineering and AI orchestration frameworks.
  • Integrate AI capabilities into business applications and workflows.

Microsoft Copilot & Generative AI

  • Lead implementation and governance of Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio initiatives.
  • Develop custom Copilot agents and AI-powered assistants.
  • Establish AI adoption frameworks and best practices.
  • Monitor AI usage, token consumption, and business value realization.

Security, Governance & Compliance

  • Establish AI governance, responsible AI practices, and security controls.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate, regulatory, and data privacy requirements.
  • Implement data protection, role-based access controls, and monitoring solutions.
  • Conduct risk assessments and security reviews for AI deployments.

Cloud Integration & Automation

  • Integrate AI services with Azure infrastructure, applications, and data platforms.
  • Automate deployment processes using Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
  • Develop APIs and integrations with Azure Logic Apps, Power Automate, and Azure Functions.
  • Support hybrid and multi-cloud AI initiatives as needed.

Reporting & Optimization

  • Monitor AI solution performance, utilization, and costs.
  • Create executive dashboards and KPI reporting.
  • Continuously optimize AI workloads for efficiency, scalability, and accuracy.
  • Provide recommendations for capacity planning and cost management.
Qualifications

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies.
  • 3+ years of experience implementing AI, machine learning, or data science solutions.
  • Experience with Azure OpenAI Service and Generative AI platforms.
  • Experience designing enterprise-scale cloud architectures.
  • Proven experience delivering AI projects from concept through production

Skills Required

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
  • 2+ years of relevant work experience (may be waived with higher degree)
  • Extensive functional knowledge in the payroll industry
  • Wide experience with technical tools such as ERP and BI
  • Finance IT SME knowledge of Timekeeping systems, General Accounting, Job Cost Accounting, Sub-ledgers, General Ledger, and Close Cycles
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work as a team member and act as a team leader
  • Maintain key competencies associated with the IT function
  • Knowledge of Tax, Treasury, Audit, Financial Reporting, Project Accounting, Billing & Revenue
  • ITIL certification
