Job Description
As the Senior Technology Risk Manager in Wise Europe’s second line Risk Management Team, you will lead the technology risk oversight responsibility for Wise Europe.
You will be responsible for 2nd Line of Defence monitoring & oversight of technology risk identification, assessment, mitigation and continuous improvement across all IT infrastructure, information system/assets of Wise.
You’ll contribute to the mission by:
Partnering with the Head of Europe Risk as a key risk partner for the delivery of the Technology Risk Management framework across Europe. You’ll also partner with the Group Head of Technology Risk to align with global technology risk management practices and support global technology risk initiatives.
This is an exciting opportunity if you have Tech Risk Management experience and want to have an impact on the Wise mission. In this role, you will report to and be supported by the Head of Europe Risk.
What you’ll be doing:

Challenge the first line-of-defence functions on risks and key remediation controls during RCSA workshops

Provide technology (Platform, Cyber Security, Data) risk assurance & oversight for EU risks, monitor the mitigation across IT infrastructure, information system/assets of Wise EU.

Ensure the technology control framework for the activities across Europe are aligned to the global framework and undertake the risk reviews.

Develop on-going technology risk reporting, monitoring key trends and defining metrics to regularly measure control effectiveness.

Assist with the Technology Risk reporting operations ( including scheduling key monthly meetings, monitoring key milestones, escalation of past due activities, problem triage and management, and archiving key monthly artefacts for audit purposes)

Identifying potential regulatory and non-regulatory risks through thorough and ongoing risk assessments with relevant business leads

Participate to the annual Business Continuity and/or IT Disaster Recovery plans exercises
Qualifications
What you’ll bring:
-
7+ years’ experience as a Technology Risk analyst or any supporting role within an Audit or Controls function, ideally within the financial services industry
-
Experience leading and executing IT audit, IT internal control, and IT risk consulting engagements, leveraging IT governance and control frameworks such as COBIT, NIST CSF, NIST 800-53, and ITIL
-
Experience leading and executing control identification/testing and risk assessment initiatives over services hosted on public cloud platforms such as AWS and GCP.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop effective trustworthy relationships with engineering teams and business stakeholders
It would be ideal but not essential if you had:
-
Previous experience as a software and/or security engineer
-
Experience in control automation and testing
-
Certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CRISC, ISO27001 LA etc.

Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at the same time to complete work
-
Knowledge in business continuity, data management, security and encryption, and vulnerability analysis and audit
