• Works as a self-sufficient team member with minimal guidance
• Applies processes and tools; recommends improvements
• Expected to learn new technologies and continue to expand expertise
• Communicates well within the team and with extended team members; escalates issues when required
• Collaborates effectively in virtual teams
• Understands requirements in areas of defined tasks
• Designs basic to complex technical documentation solutions
• Estimates own tasks with some guidance
• Knowledgeable in many areas and products

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering/computer science/technical communication, or equivalent discipline 
• Knowledge of technical writing concepts. Certification in technical documentation is preferred.
• Understanding of Product Life Cycle management in systems engineering environment
• Knowledge of information concepts
• Team Player
• 3 to 6 years of experience in a technical writing organization
