As a Senior Technical Writer , you will own end‑to‑end documentation for complex enterprise applications, using GenAI‑assisted workflows and structured authoring to scale quality, consistency, and speed. You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, UX, and Customer Success to deliver documentation that functions as part of the product experience.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)- AI-Driven Content Strategy: Leverage Generative AI tools to automate documentation processes, improve content accuracy, and accelerate content development velocity.
- Documentation Development: Create, review, and maintain high-impact product documentation, including user guides and release notes for complex enterprise software.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product Managers, Engineers, Customer Success Managers, and UX designers to align documentation with product roadmaps and user needs.
- Workflow Innovation: Identify opportunities to reduce manual effort through AI, such as implementing AI-driven analytics to identify content gaps.
- Governance and Standards: Ensure all content adheres to writing style guides and maintains high standards of quality, consistency, and accuracy.
- 5+ years creating documentation for enterprise software (ERP/CRM/large‑scale business applications).
- Working knowledge of CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Siebel, PeopleSoft, or Oracle.
- Proven ability to deliver high‑quality documentation with broad objectives and minimal supervision.
Technical communication excellence
- Strong command of information development: content planning, authoring, review, publishing.
- Deep understanding of technical writing principles such as topic‑based authoring, minimalism, and task‑oriented design.
- Experience with structured authoring, modular content development, single‑sourcing, and content reuse.
- Excellent written and verbal communication with high attention to detail.
- Strong technical aptitude; able to learn complex systems quickly and accurately.
- Strong time management and ability to deliver across parallel workstreams.
Tools and standards
- Hands‑on experience with structured authoring tools such as Arbortext Editor.
- Experience working with one or more style guides (e.g., Microsoft Manual of Style).
- Exposure to SaaS / cloud‑based business applications.
AI and modern documentation
- Practical experience with AI‑assisted writing (drafting, summarization, editing, optimization) with strong judgment and accountability.
- Ability to apply AI responsibly to improve quality, consistency, speed, and reuse.
- Comfortable experimenting with new tools and continuously improving documentation workflows.
- Advanced experience with Arbortext Editor.
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum development environments.
- Experience using analytics, feedback loops, or content performance signals to improve documentation effectiveness.
- Portfolio, writing samples, or a public knowledge base/tech blog.
- A short note on your favourite product documentation and why it works (structure, clarity, IA, visuals, tone, task flow, etc.).
