The Purpose of Your Role

As Senior Application Engineer / Senior Technical Sales Support, you will play a key role in supporting order intake growth by providing advanced technical expertise, guidance, and support to customers and internal stakeholders throughout the full application lifecycle. Acting as a senior resource within the Technical Sales Support function, you will support the Director of Technical Sales Support in driving technical excellence, process consistency, and team capability. You will work closely with sales, engineering, product development, and the Technical Sales Support team to deliver innovative, practical, and customer-focused solutions that meet customer needs and exceed expectations.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Have a bias for action to ensure you represent KSB Canada’s interest and corporate image in a professional manner. Develop and maintain customer relationships. Address and respond to inquiries for products and services in the most professional form and lead time.
  • Serve as a senior technical point of contact for customers and internal colleagues, providing expert advice and guidance on the selection, implementation, and optimization of pumping systems.
  • Support the Director of Technical Sales Support with technical decision-making, prioritization of complex customer requirements, team workload considerations, and the continuous improvement of technical sales support processes.
  • Act as a mentor and senior support resource for the Technical Sales Support team by sharing knowledge, reviewing complex technical work, supporting problem-solving, and helping to develop team capability and confidence.
  • Collaborate with customers, field sales colleagues, and internal technical teams to understand complex requirements and design customized solutions that leverage our products and services to address customer challenges, operational needs, and business objectives.
  • Creation of technical documents and drawings within an acceptable timeframe creating a formal solution that accurately portrays the desired technical solution as discussed with the Field Sales Colleague.
  • Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the capabilities and benefits of our solutions, effectively communicating technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Coordinate testing and validation activities to ensure that solutions meet quality standards, performance requirements, and compliance regulations.
  • Provide ongoing technical support to customers, troubleshooting issues, resolving challenges, and addressing inquiries in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist in developing and improving training materials, technical documentation, standards, and knowledge resources to empower customers, internal stakeholders, and Technical Sales Support colleagues with the necessary skills and information to utilize our solutions effectively.
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and peer review to support consistency, quality, and accuracy across technical proposals, drawings, calculations, and customer-facing technical documentation.
  • Develop and maintain excellent communication skills both externally with customers and internally with colleagues. Support and assist sales personnel to ensure increased success for the company.
