Position Overview:
This role provides end-to-end Project Management leadership to support the transition of a legacy, on-premise enterprise system to a modern SaaS platform, ensuring successful delivery aligned with scope, schedule, budget, and quality objectives. The Project Manager serves as the central coordinator between leadership, technical teams, and vendors, driving execution, accountability, risk management, and stakeholder alignment throughout the full project lifecycle.
Duties:
  • Lead and manage the full lifecycle of a large-scale system transition project from planning through implementation and closeout.

  • Execute and enforce the approved Statement of Work (SOW) and associated service level agreements, ensuring vendor and program accountability.

  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans outlining scope, milestones, timelines, resources, and deliverables.

  • Coordinate closely with program leadership, vendors, and cross-functional IT teams to ensure successful project execution.

  • Identify, engage, and maintain communication with all relevant stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Oversee migration activities, ensuring successful transfer of required data from legacy systems to the SaaS solution.

  • Drive decision-making by collaborating with leadership and escalating issues when necessary.

  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget while ensuring alignment with business and technical requirements.

  • Develop project estimates and adjust forecasts as project conditions evolve, obtaining required approvals.

  • Monitor progress against milestones and implement corrective actions to maintain delivery timelines.

  • Track and report project metrics, status updates, risks, and recommendations to stakeholders and senior leadership.

  • Establish and manage communication plans, reporting structures, and deliverables tracking.

  • Coordinate system testing, quality assurance reviews, and implementation activities.

  • Facilitate collaboration between vendors and internal technical teams to ensure solution requirements are achieved.

  • Identify, document, and manage risks and issues using RAID logs and develop mitigation strategies through resolution.

  • Ensure all scope changes follow established change management processes and documentation standards.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project communications and issue resolution.

  • Schedule and lead status meetings, project reviews, and stakeholder presentations.

  • Ensure compliance with established project management methodologies, standards, and procedures.

  • Mentor junior project management staff and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Plan and coordinate training, onboarding, and knowledge transfer activities related to the project.

  • Maintain project documentation repositories and collaboration tools.

  • Balance workloads across project resources and proactively engage management regarding capacity or risks.

  • Complete required weekly reporting, status updates, and administrative deliverables.


Required Skills:
  • 7+ years of Project Management experience directly managing complex technical initiatives involving large, cross-functional project teams.

  • 5+ years holding an active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, preferably issued through the Project Management Institute (PMI).


Preferred Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree (4-year) or equivalent technical education and training.

  • Experience implementing Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) solutions within enterprise environments.

  • Strong Public Health domain experience, with emphasis on Emergency Medical Services (EMS) programs and operations.
