Every day, we get opportunities to make a positive impact – on our colleagues, partners, customers and society. Together, we’re pioneering the solutions of the future and unlocking the full potential of precious resources. Trusted to act on initiative, we challenge conventional thinking to develop world-leading technologies that inspire progress in vital areas, including energy, food, water and shipping. As we push forward, the innovative, open spirit that fuels our 140-year-old start-up culture and rapid growth also drives our personal growth. So, as we shape a more resourceful, less wasteful world, we build our careers too.

About the role

As a Senior Technical Project Manager within Operations Development, you will lead the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional projects from initial concept through to full industrialization. You will be responsible for aligning project goals with business objectives, managing stakeholder expectations, and ensuring that all technical, operational, and quality requirements are met. This role requires leadership skills, technical acumen, and a proven ability to drive results in a global environment.

You will collaborate closely with external suppliers, R&D, production engineering and manufacturing, to ensure seamless integration of new technologies into production. Your ability to manage and communicate risks will be critical to the success of each project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the full project lifecycle for concept development and industrialization initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.

  • Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and technical leads.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, resource plans, and risk mitigation strategies.

  • Drive cross-functional collaboration across multiple teams including external suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective project execution.

  • Monitor project progress and performance using KPIs and project management tools; proactively identify and resolve issues and bottlenecks.

  • Prepare and deliver regular project updates and executive summaries to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal quality systems throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Champion continuous improvement by identifying lessons learned and implementing best practices in project management processes.

  • Support changing management efforts and ensure smooth handover to operations and production teams.

What you know

We believe you have a master’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related technical field, along with a proven track record of over seven years in technical project management, ideally within a manufacturing or product development environment. You have demonstrated consistent success in leading complex, high-impact projects from initial concept through to full industrialization. We believe you have experience navigating the dynamics of global, matrixed organizations and effectively collaborating with cross-cultural teams. A background that includes Green Belt or Black Belt certification is highly valued. Proficiency with 3D modelling software is preferred.

Who you are

We believe you have good leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with the proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization. You bring a proactive, solution-oriented mindset and demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. We believe you have the ability to interpret data, assess project risks, and make sound, data-driven decisions that contribute to successful project outcomes.
