ROLE
Mastercard Data and Services (D&S) harnesses the power of Mastercard's transaction data to help Fortune 500 companies make multimillion-dollar business decisions. The D&S Data Delivery team is hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead data integration strategy on some of our technically demanding client engagements. Responsibilities will include:• Proactively manage the end-to-end delivery of data engineering work on one or more client engagements, reporting out progress, ensuring dependencies are covered, overseeing the gaps between teams, processes, and systems, while removing all blocking issues leading to a successful delivery• Coordinate directly with client stakeholders to understand client needs and align on optimal data strategy. Own data-specific project communication between clients, consultants, and data engineers• Build and maintain integrated project schedules that account for internal/external dependencies, differing delivery approaches, numerous constraints, and adequately factor in contingency for unplanned delays. Identify blocking issues and manage their resolution• Negotiate features and associated priority and help the team and client reach consensus• Provide business context to engineers as required and competently represent your team's systems to others both inside and outside the organization
ALL ABOUT YOU• Demonstrated ability to operate with independence and autonomy • Demonstrated experience breaking down problems, organizing work, planning sprints, and delivering technical programs in agile delivery models (scrum, Kanban, etc.)• Proven track record of data driven decision-making and applying continuous improvement methodologies across teams • Can debate the delivery strategy with business teams, architects, engineers, and designers • Can communicate to executives, peers, and staff with impact, eloquence, and authenticity• Demonstrated experience building relationships, partnering with and influencing dependent teams while commanding the respect of the individuals you work with across the organization• Preference for a candidate with data engineering experience, including hands-on experience with RDBMS technologies • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Computer Science, Statistics, Econometrics, Engineering, Mathematics, Operations Research). Master's degree preferred
